Just attach the tube of solution to the TanMist® Spray head, plug in the Mist Base... and you are ready to apply. It is that easy! The TanMist has a wide spray mist that covers the body without any defined lines that can be left by an airbrush. You just point the TanMist® and mist! And remember, there is no cleaning!

The main ingredient is Dihydroxyacteone (or DHA as it is commonly referred to) which has been used in the cosmetic industry for over 30 years. DHA is manufactured from sugar and does not contain any potentially harmful chemicals. The TanMist® Easy Spray Formula does not contain alcohol, like many sunless tanning products on the market. Alcohol can have a drying effect on the skin. Our solution is water based and oil free.

The body's skin has live and dead skin cells. The DHA oxidizes and reacts on the dead skin cells, causing the melanin in your skin to darken. The live cells located under the dead cells have a barrier that cannot be penetrated by DHA.

Dermatologists are becoming more and more aware of the damaging effect of the sun and UV tanning. The TanMist® is a safe way to get an all over natural tan without exposing the skin to harmful UV rays. The sunless alternative will help reduce the ever increasing skin-cancer statistics.

There are no harmful chemicals in the TanMist® Tanning Solutions. However, we recommend you check with your doctor before using the Aztek TanMist® Sunless Tanning System.

The TanMist® Easy Spray Formula has received the Sensitive and Hypoallergenic "stamp of approval". If you have sensitive skin, we recommend you perform a simple allergy test 48 hours before use: Apply a small sample to the inside of one elbow. Let dry. Do not cover or disturb. If redness, irritation or other skin discomforts occur, please consult your doctor and discontinue use of this product.

Bronzer is a make-up that is added to our solution to give an instant tan while spraying with the TanMist® Easy Spray Formula. When using the Bronzing solution there will be a slight residue that may rub off on the inside of your clothing. This is water-soluble and will wash out of most clothing. The solution is water based and oil free.

We have 6 different formulas: Dark, Medium and Light without Bronzer, and Dark, Medium and Light with Bronzer. Dark has the highest percent of DHA, while Light has the lowest. Because the solution oxidizes and reacts with the skin's own cells, the tan develops to a shade to suit your natural coloring, whether you are fair or dark skinned. The tan will be darker or lighter depending on the shade you choose.

To achieve the darkest tan possible, you can apply two or more coats of Sunless Tanning Solution on the body. You want the first coat to be absorbed into the skin before applying a second. We recommend waiting no less than 12 hours before applying a repeat application. This will allow the Sunless Tanning Solution to develop fully and allow the natural tan to show.

We recommend the use of a hair cap to protect your hair. There is nothing in the TanMist® Solution that will harm your hair. However, if any does come into contact with your hair, wash your hair promptly.

The Aztek TanMist® Sunless Tanning Solution is water-soluble and will wash out of most clothing. Remember, when using the solution with bronzer there will be a slight residue that may rub off on the inside of your clothing.

Micro misting technology is why TanMist® is so revolutionary. The TanMist® Mist Head sprays a very fine mist of solution all over the body. This mist takes just minutes to dry.

Chlorine has a slight bleaching effect on all skin types, whether you are naturally tanned or have used self-tanning products. Always wait 3 to 4 hours to allow the Sunless Tanning Solution to bring out your natural tan. Swimming between tanning sessions may cause your tan to fade more quickly.

The maintenance of a sunless tan is comparable to properly maintaining your hair or skin. You will need to exfoliate before you apply TanMist® Tanning Solution. Our Exfoliator Spray should be used in the shower, concentrating on the hands, feet, knees and elbows. To prolong your tan and keep your skin silky soft and smooth, you should moisturize twice daily. However, you should wait 3 to 4 hours after applying Sunless Tanning Solution, as moisturizer can dilute the effect of your tan if applied too soon.

For new users, we recommend a second TanMist® tanning after 3 days to gain maximum results. To "top up" the tan, we recommend you TanMist® every week.
